Migrating to Open Source in Law Libraries

Hello TS and OBS colleagues (cross-posted) -
Please join us at AALL for the OBS Local Systems Committee Roundtable on Monday, July 20th, from 3:15pm - 4:30pm in PCC-Room 111A, which will feature the following program:

Title:  Migrating to Open Source: Koha and Kuali OLE in Law Libraries
Coordinator/moderator:  Kevin Carey, (Technical Services Librarian, Ohio State University Moritz Law Library) OBS Local Systems Committee Chair
Speakers: Nate Curulla, Owner, CRO of ByWater Solutions
Jeff Gabel, Cataloging Librarian/E-Resource Manager, Brooklyn Law School Library
Marjorie Crawford, Head of Technical Services, Rutgers University law School Library
Pat Sayre-McCoy, Head of Law Cataloging and Serials, University of Chicago D’Angelo Law Library
Description:  Curious about open source ILS systems? Wondering what it takes to migrate to one? Hear an overview of what open source is, why a library might choose it, and how a vendor might help with migration. Then hear the experiences of three law librarians who helped the following libraries migrate to open source systems: Brooklyn Law School (III to Koha); Rutgers Law School (III to Koha); and the University of Chicago’s D’Angelo Law Library (Horizon to Kuali OLE).

Thanks!
